Chanyeol is the twelfth member of the last alias published by SM Entertainment to the public, on February 22, 2012. His real name is Park Chanyeol, born on November 27, 1992 in Seoul, South Korea. In this EXO group, Chanyeol occupies the position of rapper and vocalist. As with other EXO members, Chanyeol also participated in the SM Casting System in 2008 first. Chanyeol took part in two EXO sub units, EXO-K and EXO-SC.
Chanyeol's sister is a news reporter at CBS, Park Yu Ra. Since elementary school, Chanyeol has practiced guitar and drums. Even during middle school, he also formed a band with his friends called Heavy Noise. In 2018, Chanyeol tried his acting debut in a drama called Memories of The Alhambra starring Hyun Bin and Park Shin Hye. His acting was praised by many netizens for not being stiff. Then in 2021, Chanyeol returned to appear in a feature film titled The Box with a musical genre. In the same year, Chanyeol was confirmed to enroll in military service and will be free on September 28, 2022 tomorrow.
