Tao is the third member introduced by SM Entertainment for the group formation of EXO, which is the same as Luhan, on December 27, 2021. His real name is Huang Zi Tao, born on May 2, 1993 in Shandong, China. In the EXO group, Tao occupies the position of vocalist, rapper, and dancer. After debuting with EXO, Tao entered the EXO-M sub-unit with other Chinese members.
Before debuting with EXO, Tao has been practicing wushu martial arts since he was 5 years old. That's why he has always been touted as a martial artist and even got offers for action movies and dramas. Just like Luhan, Tao also entered the S.M. Casting System and became an SM trainee to practice singing, dancing, and acting. Unfortunately, Tao also followed in the footsteps of Luhan and Kris to leave EXO in 2015, citing health reasons. Before leaving, Tao had joined EXO's comeback with the song "Call Me Baby",
Currently, Tao is pursuing a career as an actor, soloist, and mentor in a Chinese survival show called Chuang 2020. This survival show is at first glance similar to Produce 101 produced by the Mnet channel. Not only Tao who became a mentor in the show, it turns out that Luhan and Kris also participated in the Produce Champ 2020 event. This of course became a stir for EXO-L.
